SchoolRaise is an online service that lets students (and parents) raise money to pay for college or graduate school. Our micro-funding platform facilitates funding for students through "ordinary people" investors - family, friends, alumni, and others - who care and want to help by investing in the student's education and future. Like never before, SchoolRaise provides an online marketplace for educational funding, fundraising, and investing so that more students can have access to money to pay for school.

    College is getting more expensive every year, but banks have tightened up their lending practices, making it more difficult for students and parents to get financing for college. While some students have access to public and private education loans, many do not qualify. Some students have access to need-based and merit-based scholarships, but many do not. Some students get adequate financial aid packages, but others do not. Some students have to work full-time while attending college, and some others turn to high-interest credit cards and crippling debt. SchoolRaise exists to help those who find it difficult to pay for college and want a better alternative than crippling debt or not attending college at all.

The Company

    SchoolRaise is owned and operated by 3 Guys in a Garage LLC (3GG), a business incubator for innovative new-media ventures, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, USA. The founder, Cornelius Colin McNab, is a graduate of Yale University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) who wished for a service like SchoolRaise when he was in school. 3GG is proud to finally make it happen.
